I'm a little confused on where we should be with the readings. This whole second labor day thing always throws me off. I assume we are going to discuss week 1 at our next class, so we are just heading into week 2 for this week?
Hey, Shane. I thought the same thing, but then everyone started posting their Week 2 reading thoughts, and I double-checked the schedule and decided that we must be doing Week 2's lecture this week. Which means we were supposed to read Week 2's readings beforehand, as well. So I read through them on Friday evening.
I've been an on-again/ off-again LIS student for the past four years and am finally finishing out this fall and spring term of 2009. Woo, finally, especially after balancing grad school with a 11+ year career in book and cafe retail management.
I'm also the proud owner of an BA in Anthropology and Religion, however libraries have always been a love of mine since my undergraduate days doing work study and basically living in the stacks on the weekends, reading, reading, reading. I enjoyed a brief stint as a reference librarian's assistant in the Erie Public library system as well.
I am eying up a position in a seminary library, everywhere, anywhere, but I do find the digital progression of library materials to be fascinating and revolutionary, so my interests in this field often times cause me to run around like a kid in a field chasing butterflies. It's all intensely fascinating to me whether it be d-libraries, info. architecture, or Ambient Findability.

I might be wrong, though.
